Under3DC.org is a joint project of the Under 3 DC Coalition and its membership. We work hard to protect your privacy. We never share or sell your email address or any other information with outside organizations without your knowledge.

Petitions and Surveys

For petitions and surveys you’ve signed or completed, we treat your name, city, state, and comments as public information – for example, we may provide compilations of petitions, with your comments, to the Mayor and legislators, other targets, or to the press. We will not make your street address publicly available, but we may transmit it to members of Council and to the Mayor as part of a petition. This is a standard industry practice in such situations. In no such case will we disclose your email address or phone number without your permission. We may also make your comments, along with your first name, city, and state available to the press and public online.

Sending Emails via Under3DC.org

In certain cases, we enable you to send individual e-mails to the legislators, and other targets as well as Letters-to-the-Editor to various news publications, through our website. These messages are sent in your name, with your e-mail address as the return address and your full name and contact information is provided as part of the submission. These messages will only be sent out under your name as you approve them on an individual basis using our email tool. You are solely responsible for the specific message(s) you send using our email tool.

Coalitions

We may occasionally launch petitions or other campaigns in collaboration with allied organizations, who will be clearly disclosed on the page. If you sign on to join such a campaign, you may also receive updates from those allies. We may share limited contact information with coalition partners for one-time use to advance our campaigns, for example, communicating with you about logistics for an event you’ve signed up to participate in.

Under3 DC Coalition 

The members of the Under 3 DC Coalition are separate organizations, but all share the same goal and values. As such, when you provide your information to the Under 3 DC Coalition, we share it amongst the organization you indicate, except for credit card information.

Phone Campaigns

From time to time, Under 3 DC staff members and volunteers may contact you by telephone about urgent campaigns. If you would like to be removed permanently from our phone list, please email info(at)DCKids.org. Please allow 8-10 business days for your information to be removed.

This site contains links to outside sites. Under 3 DC is not responsible for the privacy policy or the content of such Web sites.

Children

Under 3 DC does not solicit personally identifying information from children. Visitors who are under 13 years of age should ask their parent or legal guardian for assistance when using the Site and should not submit any personally identifying information to the Site. For example, visitors under 13 years of age should not sign up for the newsletter.

Security

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.
